A piece by DinahBird for Paris Tape Run 2

Different Rains is a piece made for the second Paris Tape Run, curated by Anton Mobin and Julie Rousse, and edited on the resurrected cassette label, Staaltape. Rinus Van Alebeek has lovingly and painstakely copied each tape and hand crafted the packaging. Paris Tape Run 2 is recorded on a white chrome cassette of 40 minutes. The cassette is partly covered by coloured paper. This all is wrapped in white rice-paper and held together by a white or orange or blue or red banderol made of silk paper. The concept is simple. It was a form of tape relay race set in Paris, that began in Berlin. No digital transfers or downloads took place. We met, smiled, read Rinus' hand written instructions, and took the tape on which we recorded our various contributions. This is the result.
