Topographies Nocturnes - out on CD
La Muse en Circuit has edited a CD featuring the three winning works of this year's radio creation contest, le Prix Luc Ferrari... works by Floy Krouchi, Sarah Boothroyd, DinahBird and Caroline Bouissou.

Topograhies Nocturnes is a collaboration between DinahBird, a radio artist and Caroline Bouissou, a multidisciplinary artist and performer. It is an adaptation of Determination Aveugle (Blind Determination), a performance divised by Caroline where a group of people are invited to take a walk on a dark night armed with disposable cameras. They do not know where they are going, do not talk and use only the flash of the cameras to light their way. Topographies Nocturnes is a composite audio piece, a response to the people, sounds, thoughts and perceptions we came across during our walk. These fragmented words and impressions are intertwined with multi-level field recordings that reflect the ever changing landscape. Years of walkers steps have etched memories into the rocks of the hills. It is these man made grooves, these lost, misplaced and forgotten sounds, and observations that we uncover, reveal and piece together to form an imaginative and intriguing composition, that revives the night walk in the ears of the listener.
